Press Release: 2010 Buckhead Spring Arts and Crafts Festival

The first annual Buckhead Spring Arts & Craft Festival will be held on Park Dr. in Chastain Park on May 22 – 23, 2010. More than 150 participants will include artists, crafters, antiques/furniture makers all operating under white top tents along the winding Park Dr. on the north end of Chastain Park. Over 100 participants are from Georgia, making this event the largest festival for local artists in Atlanta.
The festival route is between Dudley Dr. (east entrance, near Children’s’ play area) and Stella Dr. (west entrance, near Chastain Amphitheater and parking).
The family friendly festival will include a miniature train for children’s’ rides, an inflatable play environment, regional foods, beverage stations, and a new “antique alley” along with fine art and handcraft.
Festival hours are Sat., May 22, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sun., May 23, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The event is free to attend. Free parking is available at the west end of the festival in the “Blue” lot and “Red” lot.
The festival is hosted by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces (www.affps.com) and organized by local artists.
