Known across metro Atlanta and the southeastern Festival circuit for operating many of the "open air" community art and craft markets, the Atlanta Foundation for Public Space (AFFPS) is best known for creating the model under which many open air markets now operate in Georgia. The AFFPS motto: "Built by Artists for Artists, Built by the Community for the Community," demonstrates their goal of bringing the arts to the community and providing artists the opportunity to earn an income from their skills.
